Meet Lucie!

We have a new foster who arrived this past weekend. She has been named Lucie, after Lucille Ball, since she is a red and white husky! She is 5 1/2 years old. She is doing great thus far, and has made some progress since coming into the foster home. When she arrived she was very dirty, so after 4 washes with Nature's Miracle "Tough on Dirt" Shampoo, her beautiful coat is showing! Her fur is a little coarse and thin at the moment, but we are certain it will improve over time, and especially with the FreshPet she has been eating. She's hesitant to walk on the leash by herself, but if other dogs are leading the way, she is happy to follow. She enjoys her time in the crate, as that is her den. She is working on manners and potty training as she is currently a counter surfer and has had a few accidents in the house. She gets along great with the other huskies in the home. Lucie is also a howler, and at night will sing before bedtime, We will try to capture this on video, but she does seem a bit shy to sing on camera. Lucie needs a lot of training and socialization, so she is not ready to be adopted. She is currently in heat and will need to be spayed after that. She is currently being fostered in Lehigh Valley, PA. Please check back for updates on Lucie and her journey! Check out the pictures below to see Lucie's transformation this past weekend!
